Junaid Akram is a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Athman Bouguettaya at The University of Sydney. He is currently a recipient of Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Service-Based Internet of Things. He has done BS Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad. He was awarded the Prime Minister’s ICT Research & Development fund fully funded Scholarship. He has done MS Computational Science and Engineering from National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He was the second top in his class. He has an evident track record in research and academia. He worked as a research assistant at NUST between 2017-2018 and gained research and engineering skills where he has joined a large-scale project using high-performance computing and machine learning. He was recently (June 2019 – Jan 2020) working as a research scientist / Team Lead at Blockchain Security lab, National Centre of Cyber Security NCCS, ITU Lahore. Currently, He is also working as a Lecturer at the University of Lahore since September 2020. His research interests are Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Machine Learning, Data Science, AI for communication and cybersecurity, and blockchain.
